A Little History
www.arisingimages.com
Before leaving Michigan for Chicago, Bob had a trio with his brother, Dan. The Gerics Brothers Trio (aka Painted Blind) with bassist, Nick Calandro, was an acoustic/electric trio performing the songs and instrumentals of Bob, Dan, and brother Rick; a bit of folk, folk/rock, and jazz.
Bob was a founding member of the high intensity instrumental string band, Third Nature (here's a tune). His back up credits include: Martha Reeves, Mitzi Gaynor, The McGuire Sisters, and The Platters. He has performed in many a show band, musical theater orchestras, a resort swing band, and a cruise ship house band. He has shared the stage with: Canada's Connie Kaldor and folk legend Tom Paxton, and is a former member of celtic/jazz fiddler, Jeremy Kittel's acoustic duo and trio. |
